I found this healthy steak salad recipe in Primal Blueprint Quick and Easy Meals, by Mark Sisson and Jennifer Meier, an ebook I received during my Primal Health Coach Certification course. Ready to make this delicious and healthy steak salad? Follow these simple steps to bring it all together in no time!

Step 1 – Combine veggies.
Combine the sliced lettuce, red onion, and jalapeño pepper in a large bowl.
Step 2 – Make dressing.
Whisk together olive oil, mustard, and red wine vinegar to make the dressing. Drizzle over the lettuce, onion, and jalapeño pepper.

Step 3 – Prepare steak.
Prep the steak for cooking by smearing mustard and olive oil over both sides of the steak.

Step 4 – Sear steak.

Healthy Steak Salad
Ingredients
- 1 head romaine lettuce, sliced thinly or broken into bite-sized pieces
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 jalapeño peppers, cut in half and seeded, then thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (plus 1 tbsp)
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 lb flank steak, skirt steak, or top round sirloin steak
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
